Evan Lysacek

Evan Frank Lysacek (pronounced /ˈɛvən ˈlaɪsətʃɛk/; born June 4, 1985) is an American figure skater. He is the 2010 Olympic champion, the 2009 World champion, the 2005 & 2007 Four Continents champion, the 2007 & 2008 U.S. national champion, and the 2009/2010 Grand Prix Final champion.

Lysacek was a member of the U.S. Olympic Team at the 2006 Winter Olympics, where he placed 4th in the men's event. On March 26, 2009, he became the first American man since Todd Eldredge in 1996 to win the World Figure Skating Championships.

He was the United States Olympic Committee's Male Athlete of the Month for November 2006 and March 2009. As of February 2010^[update], Lysacek was ranked 1st in the world.

He represented the United States at the 2010 Winter Olympics in the men's event. He won the title, becoming the first American to do so since Brian Boitano in 1988, and the first reigning world champion to win since Scott Hamilton in 1984.

Apolo Ohno - Speed Skater

Apolo Anton Ohno (pronounced /əˈpɒloʊ ˈæntɒn ˈoʊnoʊ/; born May 22, 1982) is an American short track speed skating competitor and a seven-time medalist (two gold, two silver, three bronze) in the Winter Olympics. He is the most decorated American Winter Olympic athlete of all time.

Ohno is one of only four Americans who have won three medals in a single Winter Olympic games.^[3] He has been the reigning United States champion since 2001 and has won the men's national title a total of 12 times.^[4] In December 1999, he became the youngest skater to win a World Cup event title, and became the first American to win a World Cup overall title in 2001.^[4][5] In 2008, Ohno won his first overall World Championship title.

He was the United States Olympic Committee's Male Athlete of the Month in October 2003 and March 2008.^[6][7] He was named the U.S. Speedskating's Athlete of the Year for 2003 and was a 2002, 2003 and 2006 finalist for the Sullivan Award, which recognizes the best amateur athlete in the United States.^[8][9]

He also competed in and won the reality TV show Dancing with the Stars in 2007.

Shawn Johnson - Olympic Gymnastics Gold Medalist

Shawn Machel Johnson (born January 19, 1992) is an American artistic gymnast. She is the 2008 Olympic women's balance beam gold medalist, the individual all-around silver medalist,^[1] the 2007 all-around World Champion, and the 2007 and 2008 U.S. all-around champion.

Johnson was born in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter and only child of Doug and Teri Johnson. Her parents enrolled her in a gymnastics class at age three after they noticed her climbing up cabinets and jumping down from tables. At the age of six, she was among the first students when Liang Chow opened a gymnastics school in West Des Moines.
