Twenty six years ago when I drew this home, I was told that this yellow brick mansion was built from a kit by Sears Roebuck and Company. It seems strange that such a grand place could be ordered from a Sears catalog! Indeed, it looks very similar to "The Magnolia" (Model No. 2089); ($5,140 to $5,972) http://www.searsarchives.com/homes/1915-1920.htm

you're right that the overall structure looks very similar to the Magnolia. Perhaps only the functions differ from each other.
But wow! I mean... 26 years is a long time. And it look as good as ever!
