George Burns, born Nathan Birnbaum on January 20, 1896, was a versatile American entertainer. He was a comedian, actor, writer, and singer and achieved success in vaudeville, radio, film, and television. He was known for his signature arched eyebrow and cigar-smoke punctuation, which became familiar trademarks for over 75 years. Alongside his wife Gracie Allen, he formed the popular comedy duo Burns and Allen, and the pair appeared on radio, television, and film together.

 Charles Edward Anderson Berry, better known as Chuck Berry, was a legendary American singer, songwriter, and guitarist who played a vital role in pioneering the rock and roll genre. He was often referred to as the "Father of Rock and Roll" due to his significant contribution to refining and developing rhythm and blues into the major elements that made rock and roll distinctive. Some of his most famous songs include "Maybellene", "Roll Over Beethoven", "Rock and Roll Music", and "Johnny B. Goode". Berry's music style, which included guitar solos and showmanship, greatly influenced subsequent rock music. He will always be remembered as a true icon of the industry.

Martin Henry Balsam (November 4, 1919 – February 13, 1996) was an American actor. He had a prolific career in character roles in film, in theatre, and on television. An early member of the Actors Studio, he began his career on the New York stage, winning a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for Robert Anderson's You Know I Can't Hear You When the Water's Running (1968). He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in A Thousand Clowns (1965).
His other notable film roles include Juror #1 in 12 Angry Men (1957), private detective Milton Arbogast in Psycho (1960), Hollywood agent O.J. Berman in Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), Bernard B. Norman in The Carpetbaggers (1964), Lt. Commander Chester Potter, the ship doctor, in The Bedford Incident, Colonel Cathcart in Catch-22 (1970), Admiral Husband E. Kimmel in Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970), Mr. Green in The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974), Signor Bianchi in Murder on the Orient Express (1974), and Howard Simons in All the President's Men (1976). He had a recurring role as Dr. Milton Orloff on the television drama Dr. Kildare (1963–66), and Murray Klein on the sitcom Archie Bunker's Place (1979–83).
In addition to his Oscar and Tony Awards, Balsam was also a BAFTA Award, Golden Globe Award, and Emmy Award nominee. With Joyce Van Patten, he was the father of actress Talia Balsam.

Born Walter John Matthow; October 1, 1920 – July 1, 2000) was an American actor, comedian and film director.

He is best known for his film roles in A Face in the Crowd (1957), King Creole (1958) and as a coach of a hapless little league team in the baseball comedy The Bad News Bears (1976). He also starred in 10 films alongside Jack Lemmon, including The Odd Couple (1968), The Front Page (1974) and Grumpy Old Men (1993). Matthau won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the Billy Wilder film The Fortune Cookie (1966). Matthau is also known for his performances in Stanley Donen's romance Charade (1963), Gene Kelly's musical Hello, Dolly! (1969), Elaine May's screwball comedy A New Leaf (1971) and Herbert Ross' ensemble comedy California Suite (1978). He also starred in Plaza Suite, Kotch (both 1971), Charley Varrick (1973), The Sunshine Boys (1975), and Hopscotch (1980).

On Broadway, Matthau originated the role of Oscar Madison in The Odd Couple by playwright Neil Simon, for which he received a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play in 1965, his second after A Shot in the Dark in 1962. Matthau also received two British Academy Film Awards and a Golden Globe Award. In 1963 he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for his performance in The DuPont Show of the Week. In 1982, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Dathan is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Nefretiri) of the 1956 film The Ten Commandments.

An Israelite, Dathan began his life in slavery. He was able to ingratiate himself to the master builder Baka, and became a confidant to the builder. After discovering the true heritage of Moses, he informed Ramses in exchange for freedom and being named Governor of Goshen. He was also able to force the water girl Lilia to become his concubine.

He was exiled from Egypt after God killed all the firstborn of Egypt, and quickly set himself up as opposing Moses at just about every turn possible. When the Israelites reached Mount Sinai, Moses disappeared for quite some time. Dathan was able to convince the Israelites to build a golden calf and worship that in the place of God, and lead them into a decadent orgy.

When Moses came back down from the mountain, he confronted Dathan and the others who had turned from God. Exclaiming that those who would not live by the law would die by the law, Moses hurled the tablets containing the Commandments at the golden calf, causing it to catch on fire. The ground opened up beneath the calf, swallowing it, Dathan and his followers whole. Even with Dathan dead, God decided not to bring the people into the land he had set aside for them until 40 years had passed.
