When I created the Sketch of the Day blog a few years ago, I had no idea the kind of connections and benefits that would come because of it. Based on the work displayed on the blog, the Faber-Castell (art products) company commissioned me to do a pencil drawing of the Statue of Liberty. It is now being used on the Faber-Castell USA website to promote their graphite pencil line of products.
